Germany, one of the most influential European nations and one of the world’s main economic powers is also known around the world for its precision engineering and high-tech products. It is equally admired by visitors for its old-world charm and rich cultural history. Your students will marvel as they perform in venues where musical giants such as Johann Sebastian Bach and George Fredrick Handel also performed.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1

• Relax and enjoy your flight from North America to Germany.

Day 2

• Arrive in Berlin! Meet your Tour Director who will stay with you through your entire trip. Our private coach and Motor Coach Driver will be waiting and will transfer us to our hotel.
• Dinner each night will be together in a local restaurant.

Day 3

• Start each day out right with breakfast provided in your hotel.
• Morning performance at St. Hedwig’s Cathedral.
• Lunch will be followed by a visit to the Checkpoint Charlie Museum
• Berlin Wall Visit

Day 4

• Today we visit the Reichstag, viewing Germany’s Parliament from the impressive glass dome.
• The Brandenburg Gate
• Take a few quiet moments at the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Your students will be impressed by the simple symbolism of this outdoor exhibit.
• End the day at Tiergarten, Berlin’s urban park. Climb the Victory Column for a bit of exercise and a stunning view.

Day 5

• Travel to Dresden today, stopping along the way at the famous St. Nicholas and St. Thomas churches, where Johann Sebastian Bach served as choirmaster, and visiting the Bach Museum.

Day 6

• Morning performance at the Church of Our Lady
• Relax on a paddleboat cruise of the Elbe River while sampling as much coffee and cake and you can handle.
• Evening visit to the Semper Opera House

Day 7

• Travel to Munich today, stopping along the way to visit the historic town of Nuremburg and the Dokumentation Center & Rally Grounds. Here your students will see the massive scale of Hitler’s ego and his following.
• Next, we will make a pilgrimage to the Dachau, the well-preserved Concentration Camp that has become a memorial to those whose lives were lost during the Second World War and an inspiration to all who visit.

Day 8

• Our final concert this morning is at the Munich Town Hall.
• An afternoon city tour takes us to the Nymphenburg Palace, the famous Glockenspiel in Marienplats and the Viktualienmarkt.

Day 9

• Today we take an excursion to the Bavarian Alps to visit Neuschwanstein Castle, built on an imposing façade and said to be the inspiration for Cinderella’s Castle in Disneyland.
• Continue on to Oberammergau where once every 10 years comes the famous Passion Play.
• Back to Munich for a final farewell dinner.

Day 10

• We say goodbye and travel back to North America.
